Probably going to get flak for this if this answer gets noticed but no. Cap is a character similar to Batman: He is more grounded in realism than his teammates, but due to popularity/plot he has done some crazy things. If he has no plot armor he is not standing up to Cage who has tanked shotguns,grenades, buildings falling on him and cars being thrown at him
